What an 18.5M-Follower Creator Got Done in 6 Days in Seoul

Kyle Istook's six-day Seoul trip, day by day: Ultherapy at View Plastic Surgery, whitening at Su Dental, a crane tattoo, hanbok at Gyeongbokgung and a recovery day. Why the order worked, and how to book the same week.

Short answer: In six days in Seoul, creator Kyle Istook (18.5M followers) had Ultherapy lifting and a hydrating facial at View Plastic Surgery, a smile assessment and in-office whitening at Su Dental, a fine-line crane tattoo, an afternoon at Gyeongbokgung Palace in hanbok, a K-wellness shopping run and a recovery massage. Day 1 was left empty for the flight. Each treatment went early enough to settle before he flew home.

Most people plan a Seoul trip around one thing. A lifting treatment, or new teeth, or a checkup. Then they land, see how close everything is, and wish they'd booked more.

This is what a full week looks like when it's planned that way from the start. It's a real trip we arranged, not a sample itinerary.

What did he get done, day by day?

Six days, four clinics and studios, one driver. Here's the whole week.

DayWhat happenedWhere
Day 1 (Thu)Landed at Incheon, hotel check-in, nothing elseAirport pickup
Day 2 (Fri)Skin consultation, Ultherapy lifting, hydrating mask. His partner had a facial tooView Plastic Surgery, Gangnam
Day 3 (Sat)Smile photos, assessment and in-office whiteningSu Dental Hospital
Day 4 (Sun)Crane tattoo in the morning, hanbok rental and Gyeongbokgung Palace in the afternoonA Seoul tattoo studio, Gurumi Hanbok
Day 5 (Mon)K-wellness shopping, then a recovery massageOptima Wellness Museum, a recovery massage studio
Day 6 (Tue)Flew homeAirport drop-off

Why was the first day left empty?

Because nothing done on landing day is done well. After a 13-hour flight your face is puffy and your skin is dry. A doctor assessing you that evening sees the flight, not you.

So Day 1 was pickup, hotel and sleep. Every treatment started on Day 2. We do this for every trip, and it's the first rule in The Seoul Week.

What happened at the skin clinic?

He started with a consultation, not a treatment. A doctor at View Plastic Surgery looked at his skin, explained the options and said why one fit better than another.

The consultation comes first. The interpreter's job is to make sure nothing is decided on a misunderstanding.

The main treatment was Ultherapy. It's a focused ultrasound device that heats the deep support layer under the skin, the same layer a surgeon lifts in a facelift, without cutting. The collagen it triggers builds over two to three months.

It suits a short trip because there's almost no downtime. You can walk around Seoul the same afternoon and fly a few days later. A hydrating mask finished the session.

Why put dental on Day 3?

Because whitening works best on teeth that aren't freshly irritated, and it doesn't care what your face looks like. Su Dental took smile photos first, for the before-and-after and to agree on what result to expect.

Then in-office whitening. A gel goes on the teeth and a blue light activates it, usually in three or four rounds of 15 minutes in one visit.

In-office whitening is finished in one visit. Sensitivity for a day or two is common.

Single-visit work like this fits a short trip. Implants don't. Bone needs months to heal around them, so they need two trips.

Why a tattoo in the middle of a medical trip?

Because Day 4 was the day off. Two clinic days in a row is enough. The middle of the week is for Seoul itself.

Korean tattoo artists are known for fine-line work, and people fly in for it. He chose a crane, a bird that stands for long life across East Asia.

The finished crane. A tattoo is a fresh wound, so it went after the facial treatments, not before.

The afternoon was hanbok. They rented outfits near the palace and walked into Gyeongbokgung, where visitors in hanbok get in free.

What does Day 5 add?

Recovery. By Day 5 you've had a lifting treatment, whitening, a tattoo and four days of walking. So the day went to a wellness store for home-care products and a long recovery massage.

It's also the buffer. If anything needed a second look, there was a full day to go back before the flight.

Why did this trip work?

The treatments weren't unusual. The order was.

  1. Landing day stays empty.
  2. Anything that leaves marks goes early. Lifting on Day 2 had four days to settle before the flight.
  3. One day off between treatment days. Day 4 was Seoul, not a clinic.
  4. The last full day is a buffer. Nothing is booked on the morning you fly.

Book each clinic yourself and none of them will plan around the others. That's the part we do.

Can you book the same trip?

Yes. This trip is a version of The Seoul Week, our one-week program. You tell us what you want done, and we build the days.

Frequently asked questions

Can you do Ultherapy and teeth whitening in the same week?

Yes. They don't affect each other. On this trip the lifting went on Day 2 and whitening on Day 3, leaving three days before the flight.

How soon can you fly after Ultherapy?

Most people can fly the next day, since there's no wound. On this trip there were four days between the treatment and the flight.

Is it safe to get a tattoo after facial treatments?

They're on different parts of the body, but a tattoo is a wound. That's why it went after the facial treatments, with two days left to keep it clean before the flight.

Do you need to speak Korean?

No. A coordinator who speaks English was at every appointment on this trip, including the dental assessment.

How far ahead should you book a trip like this?

Four to six weeks is comfortable. Popular clinics and weekend dental slots fill first, so we lock those dates before anything else.
